New Year, Worse Habits
Florida (24-15-2, 50 PTS) ends 2024 and starts 2025 with its worst offensive production of the season. The Panthers have scored just 10 goals over the most recent six games -- their lowest amount of offensive production since a stretch in December of 2023, marking nine tallies across the same time frame. This contrasts starkly from the norm, dropping from the second-most efficient offense in the N.H.L. to the ninth. Of the seven teams that leapfrogged the Cats, only three, Edmonton, Vegas, and Colorado were among the Top 10 highest-scoring offenses before this drought (Winnipeg remains among the Top 10 after being the only team in front of Florida before this stretch).
